MGT 530 provides an excellent overview of how our economic system works (or may not be working as well as it might). Using a variety of instructional methods (DVD short programs, in class exercises, team projects, and self graded "quizes") students work with Dr. Zerges to examine such questions as:
- What are our economic goals?
- How can our economic goals be best attained?
- What causes economic problems such as inflation, unemployment, deficits and other economic maladies?
- What are some options for addressing our economic problems?
- What do managers need to know about our economic environment to make better decisions for their own organizations?
Lectures are kept to a minimum and students are encouraged to be engaged in the course topics in a conference setting.
